No matter where you turn, the scriptures are filled with parables and experiences that teach us about the atonement.
In Genesis 22 we learn about the sacrafice Abraham is asked to make, to sacrafice his ONLY SON! Just as God sacraficed his only son. In Mathew 3 we read aboutthe Savior being baptized by John in order to set the perfect example of all we must do to take adavantage of His coming sacrafice. And in Mosiah 27 we learn about the the wicked sons of Mosiah and Alma the younger who were still of great worth in the eyes of the Lord, to save and to bring His message to the Earth.
