"Make the
right choice,
NOT the
easy choice!"
God sent us to earth in order to experience life and make our own choices to help us grow. But he didn't send us unprepared. He gave us valuable tools and gifts to help us. Often times when making choices we can experience these gifts. Some people call it your conscience or a gut feeling. But God has given us moral agency. The ability to make good and MORAL choices.
If you've ever been faced with a choice where you immediately felt hesitant or nervous, that should be an indicator that it might not be the best choice. When we feel guilt before we make that choice.
But some choices don't always leave us feeling anything strongly one way or the other. In those times we should SEEK for guidance in our choices. We should PRAY. We should SEARCH THE SCRIPTURES to help us come to an answer. For many people those bigger choices often allow opportunities to feel the SPIRIT!
When I investigated the church I remember clearly the the feeling of happiness I felt each time I met with the Elders. I felt light and free of stress. Then I was asked to pray...OUTLOUD....to know if the things I was learning were true. Although very nervous, I knelt down an offered a prayer out-loud. I felt that BURNING OF THE BOSOM the scriptures speak of, which was very new to me. And I felt total peace in that moment.
If we choose TRUTH from ERROR in this life, our lives and our choice will become clearer. And in that clarity we have a beautiful gift of freedom from worldly problems. That doesn't mean we're free from difficulties. But knowing the RIGHT choice to make BEFORE we make it is a gift. Often times the right road isn't the easiest. But that road takes us back to our Heavenly Father!
(John 8: 31-32) 31. Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, if ye continue in my word, then ye are my disciples indeed; 32. And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.
